My wife, Michelle, and I were married July 18, 1981 at First Baptist Church in Troy, Michigan. We have five children. Beth is a nurse working in the heart catheterization lab in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Brandon currently serves as a youth pastor in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brandon and his wife Jessica have two children, Colton and Alaina. Bryce currently serves at the Wilds in North Carolina on their program staff. Brett lives at home and works for Tubedek Corporation. Our last child, Bradley is currently a sophomore at Bob Jones University.
I was saved at the age of seven as a result of the vacation Bible school ministry in my home church in New Jersey. Following high school, I attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. It was while attending BJU, I was challenged through the Word of God to be open to the ministerial call. During this time, God made it clear to me that He wanted me to serve Him in some capacity. I then surrendered to God’s call to the ministry. I received my Bachelor’s degree from BJU in 1977.
Following graduation from college, I served at First Baptist Church – Bethany Christian School in Troy, Michigan. In Troy, I served as visitation director, assisted the youth pastor in the youth ministry, taught Bible and coached various sports in the school. Following the ministry at First Baptist, Michelle and I ministered briefly in western Michigan and then followed the Lord’s leading to Phoenix, Arizona where I taught Bible, and coached sports, and served as youth pastor at Heart to Heart Bible Church.
In 1990, our family moved back to New Jersey and I taught for three years at Timothy Academy in Philadelphia, PA. While teaching at Timothy, our family attended Heritage Baptist Church in Mount Laurel. I began to work with the youth at Heritage and eventually became the youth pastor and again, taught in the school and coached various sports. In June of 2000, I became the Administrator of Heritage Christian Academy.
I hold various teaching certificates from the American Association of Christian Schools. Through the years, I have earned over twenty hours of graduate credits in school administration. Besides teaching and coaching, I have served as Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, and whatever else needed to be done to make the ministry a success. I also presently serve as a board member of the Garden State Association of Christian Schools. Serving in Christian education for the past thirty-seven years was a great privilege the Lord afforded me.
It is now my privilege to serve as pastor of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church located in Moorestown, New Jersey. I look forward to a long and fruitful ministry with this wonderful group of people.
